Is my blue flasher wrasse sick?

I’ve had this guy for 2 weeks in QT. Has been eating, swimming around, all good. No meds. Behavior change today- now lying on the bottom but will move if startled

. Eating ok. Breathing looks kind of fast. I’ve read that wrasses will lay on the bottom. Any help is appreciated!! Hopefully the video uploads ok.

I could view the video - the wrasse is breathing too fast, too deep. It could be a gill disease (protozoan or bacterial) or it could be a water quality issue. There is also this issue:

Thanks for video (helps). Fish is labored breathing which indicates issue with water or gill issue (flukes a possibility)
Assuming this is a quarantine tank, what meds if any are you using and what is the ammonia level?

Thanks- how should I proceed? At the LFS they keep stock in hyposalinity and low dose copper. I have slowly brought SG up to 1.025. Ammonia <.15 on a salifert test and a badge shows safe zone. pH 8.4. Temp 78. I have copper and prazipro on hand. Thanks!

For aeration I have a power head pulling in outside air. HOB filter with media but no carbon.

it’s a 20 gallon QT and only this fish is in it. Salifert and Seachem badge for ammonia. Hanna for ph. Refractometer. Plenty of aeration via the powerhead pulling in room air. No meds - just completed 2 week observation.

Your ammonia may be higher as both badge (also used for FW) and api kits are known for false readings. I would grab a water sample and take to a reliable LFS that does not use API kits and see what reading they come up with. In the mean time, do a small water change
