Hi
I have few BTAs in my Waterbox cube 20
For some time now they were all doing good. Open whole day and tentacles were long and thick.
I was away for 4 days and now I am noticing that BTAs are open in the morning and by afternoon all are closed and some of them look very small not even a half of size of what they used to be. Before I was not able to see the mouth but it looks like swollen now and tentacles are small and deflated. I tried feeding them and it looks like they got little bit thicker but then went back to closing and being deflated.

Can someone look at my pictures and let me know if my BTAs are dying or this is okay behavior?

Thanks A

We have a WB 20g and how do you keep salinity stable?
The nems appear to have been there for a little while.

I wouldn’t feed and would look to doing some water changes

Tank is like 4 months old. My friend gave me his rock with BTAs on it as well as his water from his tank which was well established.

I change 4 gallons every Sunday. I don’t have anything to measure parameters. I need to buy something tomorrow after the snowstorm.

Thanks A

Try and keep the salinity stable making sure the tank is topped of daily unless you have an ATO

Like I mentioned before we have a WB20 and the tank level goes down very quickly and salinity goes way up.
Do you use the sock? Our sock also fills up quickly, we have to change it every 2 days

I have ATO.
I removed sock and I have custom plastic frame that I slide it in chamber with media. I forgot how is that called.
thanks for your suggestion. I will try to get testing kits tomorrow and see what are my numbers. But it is so strange to me that I been doing everything same for all this time and just in last few days they all look deflated. I just wish to know what is wrong so I can fix it.
Thanks A
