Any help much appreciated!

Looks like it to me. Here is an image of mine splitting.

It takes mine roughly 4-6 hours to complete the process.

After the split is complete, they need to heal. Neither one of them will have a mouth, so they will not be able to eat. Don't even try to feed them for a couple of weeks or until you see their mouths have fully formed. Then you can feed them something small (Mysis). Other than that, you don't have to do anything. Just leave them be and enjoy their beauty!

As already posted do not feed for a couple weeks. Just make sure you're maintaining good water quality, the anemones will take care of the rest.
Congrats.

Thanks for jumpin in on the action Tahoe! I've only had this guy for about 2-3 weeks and wasn't expecting a split this aoon

My pleasure it's exciting stuff. Pretty common for them to clone after acclimation, some say it's stress, I leaning towards world domination.

Not sure if it was a false alarm or what. He still seems to be punching somewhat at the bottom where the green tentacles are but no splitting yet

I agree, I just fed him a small piece of shrimp. Hoping to push him over the splitting edge! I'll post here if there's anything that happens.

I would not feed the anemone if it looks likes or you suspect it might split. The gut has to split as well, anemones are slow digestors because they have such primative GI tracts, slow digestion can lead to internal bacterial infection which is usually deadly. Good luck on your up coming cloning.
