I noticed it doing this a lot and it doesn’t puff up like it used to. Not sure if it’s dying or what!

Maybe try and dip it. Are your alk and calcium stable? What about your tank water in general?

I’ve had it for a while ,about 2 months. All alk and calcium were fine. Yea I can try to dip it. My water has always been pretty good. It does deflate at night but it’s just not puffing out all the way like it usually does During the day.

As long as alk and calcium are consistently the same number then I would say its probably not those unless they are way too high or low (I am assuming you test and dose frequently). I assume your mag and trace elements are ok.

Usually I see them close up when the flow is too much or if the water chemistry has gone off. If its not flow or water, I think a dip could be handy and then some feeding if you don't already. Did it get moved or have tissue tear on it recently?
