Hi all, so I just recently got a sea anemone , it’s been in my tank for a few days now and it has been moving around a bit, it looked like a regular bubbletip. I noticed it drooped a lot during night. But perked back up. However today I noticed it looked a little different, I wanted to know if it’s unhealthy
Parameters are
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 30
Phosphate: around 0.2?
Just was curious if the little guy is still adjusting or not. Its currently In the low par area of my tank around 20-30 but when I placed it they were in around a 120 par area
Thanks for the help!

Looks OK to me. Give him some time. Anemones are mostly water, and are quite seriously affected by what we'd consider minor changes in water. Takes some time for them to get used to a new tank.

If he one day become happy in his surroundings... Look out :D. I started with one small bubble tip... I think I have 11 now, though it's difficult to count them, completely covering one 'island' in my tank, and I've given away several clones :D

Looks to be doing well, just still settling in if it’s only been a few days

give it a couple of weeks to settle in, it will find a spot that it likes, while adjusting to your lighting they will hide a little and move over time.

If it’s just shrinking at night and is open during the day that’s normal, mine shrink down at lights out and fully expand within 30 minutes of lights on.

as long as your parameters remain stable it will do very well, lighting flow and alk are the 3 biggest things I have found effects bta.

It looks okay to me, if not a little bit bleached. But otherwise healthy. It'll move to where it wants to be, so just let it do so. They are weird little critters and inflate and deflate all the time. Get used to it.
Awesome thank you! Hopefully the little guy finds the right spot soon. It’s a surprise for my clownfish moving tanks. Now let’s hope it actually notices

My bubble tip has acting all kinda crazy shapes from when I introduced, I'm no expert however from talking to others, they shrink when they poop, which I have found, they find Thier own place to receive light (just like sticking your arm out a car window),
Most don't even feed bubble tips but once a month is recommended but again not necessary, let them find there place in your aquarium, if they unhappy they will move
