Used to sit a bit more flat on top, but it has been dropping on the sides lately. Maybe getting more than optimal flow? Should I press it down further into the sand? Thanks!

I keep mine off the sand on a piece of rock on bottom of tank so relatively light flow can fully surround it.i don't think scoly's are quite as sensitive to flow as some assume & I've found mines puffier since increasing flow.it just needs a nice jiggle to it.whats your phosphate reading?mine crept up at one stage & my scoly deflated.they can also sulk if temp too high.lastly how often are you feeding?I feed mine chopped mysis twice a week and its the greediest coral in tank

That looks fine to me. Too much flow and they start lifting an edge. This doesn’t look like too much flow. I would leave at that height to keep away from irritants in the sand bed. Let it grow.

Phosphates have been climbing above 0.16, but nitrates were zeroes out, so been working on nitrates mostly. I'll throw in some Phosguard on Monday. I feed pretty frequently and only my fungia plate, trachy and nems are better eaters.

Don’t use it full dose. It can drop PO4 pretty quickly. I use about 250 ml for my 120 gallon. In a bag near the return section of my sump. Worked just as good as a reactor and didn’t pack down. I wouldn’t go below .05

Thanks! My happy range is between 0.03 and 0.1, which is just visible on Salifert test. Have a Hanna now, so a bit more accurate. I'll go die with it. SPS might be a bit happier then too.
