I bought a candy cane coral last Wednesday and it hasn’t opened while my grape coral is fully extended I tried changing the lighting power changing it spots to adjust flow but nothing! Any suggestions? Is it dead?

What's your current water pramameters?

Looks like a young tank. How old?

Tank gonna hit a year this Christmas and the parameters are ideal.

If you just got it, it can take some time to acclimate. What conditions it came from may and most likey were different.

If it were dead, you would not see that nice tissue around it. It actually looks good, just not opening fully. It will get puffy if in the correct flow and light. Looks like it is in indirect, which can be fine, but may need more direct depending on how it develops.
