ok so i just got home and my chalice coral looks to be receding but i can’t tell because it looks like it’s gotten closer to this ref dot on this frag plug but it could be receding in a few places so help would be appreciated but today it could be because i didn’t get a chance to top of the water or turn on the actual light but here are some pictures and it been in the tank for a few weeks now and it eats fine

It could be possibly. Did you dip the coral? It wouldn't hurt to dip it in some iodine based dip like Seachem, or I have seen others have success with Revive.

ok i’ll try that but it seems like it probably had to do with the light not being there fully plus the small salinity swing

hi that is a moderate light, higher flow chalice :)

It could possibly, but the reason we use those dips is to help it heal , so it wouldn't hurt.

at first look i thought stunner, but too much texture ,poss green eyed monster??

yea i’m gonna try to pick some up tomorrow but should i keep feeding it
It depends on what your N03 and P04 are at. If ULN then yea, but if your N03 is at 10 plus and your P04 is at .04 plus then it isn't needed.

I was just looking at the blue base with green eyes. This day and age its hard to tell the name of something, LOL!!!

my nitrates are 3 and my phosphates are undetectable
In this case I would feed some Reef Roids or similar. I add it to my fish food 2 times weekly and slow down my pumps for 10 minutes and let them feed. You can spot feed also.

are you using phos remover?

Howdy,

That may just be a light issue. Is there a way to angle it to get the light on all angles. Or I would say it is time to get it off the frag and onto a rock

how would i go about removing it from the plug and with the actual tank light on it’s looking better than what it was when i took that picture
