Ammonia. 0ppm
Salinity 34
Water temp 77.7 f
Calcium 460 ppm
Mg. 1370
Alkalinity 12.1

Dont mind the red hair alge my skimmer was shut down due to pump problem but since then have new skimmer and alge is being removed with water changes once a week

Hard to see on phone but I think I see some pyramidal snails on the bottom edge. Flip him over and give him a good check.and on a side note that variety would be happier on a rock to attach to.

That's typical step of gaping:(
I also will check as above

The red algae are cyano so something is not ok

Last what is the animal in the pic behind not clear from pic

It is a aarow crab and i am working on the cyno. My filter for rodi was old and tds was reading high and i was using reef salt and now switching to salinity. And thanks for the tip of moving him to a rock. And i dont see any pyrmidal snails

Looks like it might be a wild caught Tahitian. Survival rate is very small for these clams.

Only thing i can see on it is little round white hard spots which i have in the glass butt well.

Hes gone. Ugh its so hard to lose something so beautiful. Bsagea i believe ur right about being wild caught. I had one in my last tank for 4 yrs with no problems. Just couldn't keep this guy happy. Back to the drawing board for me. And triple check all my stuff before adding anything new. Thanx for everyones help. If i do figure out if i did something wrong i will let it he known for future reference. This fourm is the best fourm for the true saltwater hobbyist

Always hard to lose a critter ~ no matter what it is. Sorry for your loss.
