I have 2x 7 mo old Oscellaris in my tank. The (Black Oscellaris), aka ”The Bully” because he is a jerk to the smaller Orange Oscellaris, just lays on his fake anemone all day trying to move as little as possible, until feeding time, or the occasional swim chasing the smaller one away from his home. He eats enough (several pellets once a day), although the smaller one eats way way more. Otherwise, he looks like he is either sleeping or being a complete couch potato all day.
Last night, The Bully was just doing his thing, flopped on his fake anemone, and my Cleaner Shrimp came over, and literally dragged him away from his home, mounted him, and might have gotten a bite or two, until The Bully slowly and casually swam away back to the fake anemone. The shrimp did this again, until I tapped the tank and scared them both away. Was my fish in sleeping, or weak? I would think a normal response is zip away as quickly as possible, no? Out of concern, I stuck him in the acrylic box overnight and fed him this morning. The first video is before I turned on the lights, he seemed to be breathing hard laying there, but and when I turned on the lights, he seems to be swimming fine again. I let him loose and he immediately went back to his favorite spot and being a couch potato again.
Should I be concerend?
