If my clown is 1.5cm only and I have a 6 feet tank with tangs and other fishes with it. Would it be too small for it to compete for food?

I have him in am isolation box now and I have doubts releasing him into a tank full of fast swimmers.

Clown fish are damsels.....I'd be worried about the other fish! And they have teeth.

I had two clowns that size in a 90G tank with some tangs and other fish. I was actually more worried they were going to get sucked into some plumbing more than food but they ended up fine. If it makes you feel better keeping it in the box you can. If you want to release the clown and notice it isn't yet capable of competing with the others then you can always add it back to the box until it gains a little more size.

A Clownfish can generally hold it's own and has plenty of places to hide in a tank of that size. I wouldn't worry too much.

1.5 cm? As in 1/2"?

Make sure that it's eating well first. Also make sure that you don't have any fish large enough to eat it.
