Good Evening,

Picked this up and was open and beautiful, gentleman told me to stick a need thread with thread and tie to rock and that in a few weeks it will attach to the rock.
Can’t remember what this was called but my wife loved it, so really hope it’s ok...

Sorry never a good photographer

This looks like a Kenya Tree coral (but I'm a newbie so please don't take my word for it). If it is, that's the first coral I had in my tank. They are pretty much indestructible -- trust me I thought I killed mine on several occasions. If it is, give it some time. As long as it's someplace in your tank that has decent lighting and good flow you should be okay.

I remember hearing about the needle and thread thing. I didn't do that. I just ended up finding a hole in a rock where it sat nicely. Over time it bonded into the hole.

Good luck!

Yes, that's a Kenya tree. It appears to still be alive. Give it time. It'll snap out of it.

Ok... This is now almost 2 weeks.
The best it has gotten is...

I don’t get it... Should I move it?
Please advise. TY!

I would move it. Maybe somewhere it can get a little more flow and less light. These things are nearly indestructible.

The less you do to your tank (within reason), the happier your kenya tree will probably be. I had some in a 29g that only had really small water changes done to it weekly and they were happy and spreading like weeds.

Moderate light andf water flow needed. When lights are dim or go out, they will lay down as in pics.

The first updated pic is what it looks like in all its glory lol not sure what else you're looking for .so if it's like that most of the time you're good . If it looks like the second pic a lot you can try moving it . However if it just looks like that when the light first comes on or at night I wouldnt worry about it . Kenya trees are like dandelions, you cant get rid of it even if you tried

Thanks.
I had flow on it there the first week and it didn’t do anything. I change to flow lower and it opened up some. It hasn’t attached to the rock as of yet, I have noticed when the tank is messed with (I’m board working from home) and the lights lower it get shriveled... So it’s normal, with the exception of when this was at the store it was spear eagle.. LOL
Patience.... I Guess should be the 1st answer.
