Hi guys,

I have this coral and it seems to be losing its green colour and just leaving white kind of flesh behind. It used to be big and green.

Not sure what’s wrong?

Can you post your parameters? Nobody can help you unless you tell us those. Have you been testing your water regularly?

i would also add to take the picture under whiter lighting

Thanks for your replies.

Here are my water parameters tested just now:
Salinity = 1.25sg
Phosphate = 0.64
Nitrate = 2.1ppm
Calcium = 430ppm
Alkalinity = 7.2dKh
Magnesium = 1440ppm
pH = 8.3

Could it be the phosphate level causing it? I have had this phosphate problem for a while just struggling to bring it down.

also attached photos in white light. Both the green which I believe is trachyphilia and the red coral above (not sure on name) look like they are dying.

Trachyphylia should be on the sandbed. They are moderately difficult to keep and require an established tank with stable parameters. Low to moderate flow and lighting. Occasional direct feeding helps to. I have the same coral.
