Need some help please. My RODI is starting to read 30 TDS. Does my DI filter look done? If so, does anyone know what filter to get? I can't remember who I bought this from. Thank you for

How old is it? What do the other filters look like? What was the TDS when new?

General rule of thumb is to replace once a year or when TDA starts rising. 30 is to high.

I used BRS DI resin. Use a botte to pack it in tightly. Beer bottle works great.

Looks to be filled with (2) different resin types. could be some type of chloramine buster cartridge rather than a standard mixed bed DI.

Most resin beads as mentioned above are color changing when exhausted. Personally, I would replace the media. Light brown is fine with 0 TDS but dark brown as mentioned means it's used up. Is your source water high in TDS?

This is my filter system, the there is a whole house water filter system too.

Im struggling to see if it packed tightly or not. That big slope of light brown makes me think its kinda loosey goosy in there

Just Bought this. Hope its good

That's the same DI cartridge I use. They work well for me. I get well over a year out of one, but my water isn't too bad. I get 0 or 1 TDS out of my RO membrane usually, so my DI stage doesn't have to do too much.

UPDATE. I got a new TDS tester and my RODI was at 21. Still changes out the cartridge and now it's back to 0. All is well

33 TDS into the DI is quite a lot. Use the TDS calculator which is the Tap TDS and RO TDS and check the rejection rate of the RO membrane. If this is over 96% then that is OK but 33 TDS sounds like a shot membrane taking down the Di filter.
