Hi everyone!
I've had a new Duncan coral in my tank for about 2 to 3 weeks right now. It was doing absolutely amazing. It seemed happy. And I made sure it had enough, but not too much flow.
Unfortunately, I had to replace my aquarium a couple of days ago. Because of this, I had to remove a few loose standing corals from my tank, including the Duncan coral. I had a new spot planned for it.
Because I had to remove it, it was out of the water for a couple of seconds before I could place it in a (heated and with slight flow provided) bucket. The bucket was filled with water straight from the aquarium.
The moment the Duncan got out of the water it closed, and it hasn't been open since. I'm afraid I've killed it by moving it out of the water (even for a couple of seconds)

Or should I just have my patience and open it will reopen soon? Because it doesn't look 'dead', just closed.
The reason I'm worried is that it did not close when I bought it from the store. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they got it out of the water too and then placed it into a small bucket. i took it home. And it barely closed, even after getting into my aquarium. And now it did. So I'm a bit worried.

No animals have been bothering it as far as I know, maybe that my hermit crabs took a walk over it, but I barely see them, so I'm not sure.

The first 2 pictures is how it was and the other one is how it is now (obviously)

I hope someone could help me out :)

Kind regards, Kiwi.

(don't mind the frag stone in the back, there was nothing on it!)

Not likely dead , just getting used to new tank . They're pretty sensitive to changes , takes a few days to stop pouting
Thanks a lot for your reply. I will keep an eye on the coral, I hope it will reopen soon.

corals can be out of the water for a few minutes, no problem, thats not the issue. Something about the conditions in the new tank are not making it very happy, if the water is good, it usually comes down to lighting and flow.

Do you think? Cause I moved it around and the tank isn't that big, so sensitive for changes, I think the water values aren't as steady as they were before the move. (I replaced it in my room, took about 40% of the water out so we could move it to the other side of the room) I was planning on doing a test round this afternoon. I'll try and adjust the streaming a bit.
