So I've decided to use chemiclean to fight the cyano that's just wearing me out, 10 gal set up I have my built in back pump and a second lil nano wave pump... the directions say to add a bubbler for increased oxygen do I have enough flow or is this a necessary step...

Flow should be good if those pumps were sufficient fir your tank prior to treatment, but you'll need a lot of bubbles and surface agitation to increase the oxygen level in the water.

But, if those pumps didn't give enough circulation before, then that is a definite possibility why you may be having the cyano in the first place.

So it was a combination of stupid mistakes, I fed a cube of thawed mysis shrimp nothing really ate them then I forgot to plug back in the wave pump so low flow and fuel

Or atleast that's what I blame as my trigger

While I know many folks have had (at least short term) success with CC, I can point to an equal number of people that ended up in the dinoflagellate thread a week or two after treating with Chemiclean.

I've not seen THE ONE method of managing cyano-- no silver bullet. Some combination of flow, detritus removal, and a balance of NO3 & PO4 seems to hold the most promise of managing cyano.

Does anyone kind of agree with my amateur hypothesis of what may have kicked off my problem
