I just bought some frogspawn from my lfs and when I bought it, it was laying on its side in the display tank. I have had it in my tank for 2 days now and it's not as wide open as it was when I first got it. I waited about 3 weeks to buy it to see if it was healthy in the store.

No, it looks unhappy but not dying. It sounds like it was treated pretty rough in the store, which really stretches out the acclimation time. Or it may like less flow if it's not extending or less light. Or it just needs time. If you have it in a spot that you think is suitable, just leave it be. In my experience, hammers/frogspawn are finicky and get mad whenever you touch them. My branching hammer was damaged a bit at the LFS too. It stayed mostly closed for a month and 1 head was so closed up I thought for sure it was dead. Nothing changed for a month, and then it finally decided to open. Jerk. Lol

I found that my damsel is attacking it. I moved the damsel to my 10g nano and now it's really making progress

The frogspawn no longer had tenticles and was on the brink of death. There was a ton of bone showing. This is only 4 days after removing the damsel from my tank

No, its just receded. Lighting appears good. Do feed 2X per week and moderate water flow and salinity of 1.026 is desired for Euphelia

I have my salinity at 1.026 I feed roids 2x a week and it's doing great! I always worry if my lighting is good enough so glad to hear that it looks good. I dont have a par meter or easy access to one. So I basically ballpark the best lighting based on the corals reactions
