Is my frogspawn going to be okay?

My frogspawn was doing great and then the other day it fell on the sandbed and now it’s looking like this. Will it recover?
You can see the skeleton through it’s mouth.

Is there skin over the skeleton? How long was it on the sand like that?

I had a frogspawn that lost almost all the tissue. Actually, at one point, it looked like it was just a skeleton. I kept my tank stable and left it alone and over time it came back 100%. That took a few months tho. +1 on keeping tank parameters stable and it should be fine.

I like to glue mine in place when I add them. They generally do much better if they don't get moved around.
Also, I can't tell from the picture but if that coral is in a strong direct current where it is sitting you might want to move it to a place where it doesn't get blasted? (So my advice contradicts myself in the same post.)

If it was happy there before, glue it in place and hopefully, it's not too far gone.

Thank you all for the replies! I can’t tell if there is any skin left over the skeleton but I’ll have to check again in the morning when the lights come on. It only fell and was on the sand for a few seconds. I knocked it off when I was moving another coral I have glued it on now though and it should be stuck there. It is in pretty good flow right now so should I turn the flow down until it starts to look better?

If it was doing well where it was, then leave it. A few seconds is not a problem at all. Heck, a few days and it will find a way to recover. Not too much flow for these guys. It is likely a little damaged and just irritated. Best to not fiddle. IMHO.

Update: Took another photo. The crabs I guess wanted in the picture. They haven’t been bothering the frogspawn they just were curious since I moved the coral to a new spot with a little lower flow.
