I've had bra for about three months. I had a Chinese led 55x3w white/blue on the tank. I just upgraded to a kessil led today. So I took some pictures. I've always had this worry he didn't look healthy, but what do you guys think? Is his mouth ok?

He's bleached, but I can't really tell how health. He doesn't look too good though IMO.

Here's a picture of my green BTA. I would consider him healthy like this.

hard to tell by the pic if his mouth is ok or not he could be in the middle of in or out and that is why it is part open. Did you try to move him more into the light? after 3 months he should of started to gain some color. Also did you try to feed him and will he take food ?

I've thought that too. He hasn't expanded like that just in the lfs. I'm considering adding some cuprisorb or purigen. What kind of lights is yours under?

When I first got him he moved around the tank lots. Eventually settled there under a shadowed area. Hasn't moved in months. He eats but I don't feed often. Once a month i feed the head portion of a silverside. He eats it. Occasionally I noticed a flake food get stuck to the tentacles too. Tentacles are sticky.

sometimes they need a push to better light and it also can be the lights but, it one doing well and the other still bleached it may just be a slow recovery. I know I had to feed mine once a week to help this process

Good to know. I think the problem may be low salinity. I found out its 1.023-24. The hydrometer reads 1.024 and refractometer reads 1.023. You think that's the cause? I normally keep at 1.026.

I'm going to raise it by evaporating.

Chinese Ebay 165/W full spectrum LED's.

Love em.

About $80-120 a fixture. The price goes up and down monthly.

If you get one, make sure they have the optics and are dimmable.

I use these:

you do not need to feed the nem.. I would let it be until it is looking good again and then feed it..
