Is my GFO tumbling correctly? More or Less?

I have a BRS dual reactor. GFO & Carbon. 200g total volume. I used 1.55 cups of gfo and 1.85 of carbon per the BRS calculator.

Is my GFO is tumbling correctly or ideally? Too much? Less? Always wondered how a slight tumble was efficient.... bottom never contributes or so it seems. Yes I know the carbon does not tumble and is held in place by bottom and top sponges.

I would use half or 1/4 the recommended dose for the GFO as you don't want to strip the PO4 too fast from your system or have it bottom out.

The tumble looks good, but since it is mixed with carbon, I would lower it a tad bit more. You really don't want the carbon breaking apart as it could cause issues with the livestock.

I don't usually tumble it that aggressively ....it usually looks like a little wave motion when I get it like I want it. However, I run GAC and GFO in separate reactors.

I agree with everyone else....I tumble just enough to move the surface of the GFO around, but I tumble in separate reactors as well.

Yup a little too aggressive nothing jumping off the surface just slight "bubbling".

Thanks guys, this is a dual reactor setup. The GFO and Carbon are separate. I will lower the tumble a bit. My phosphates are always under .07. I stay pretty consistent. Was just curious on tumbling. Looking on youtube, everyone has something a little different.
