Is my Glass Tempered or not Please help

So I got a Aqueon 125 gallon glass tank. its 72x18x23. I am having the hardest time finding out if the glass is tempered or not. I have tried watching the youtube videos and all but i dont get the same results. What happens for me is I dont get a total black out when using polarized lenses. I would say its a 75 percent black out. I can still see the words on the white back ground of the screen. From the videos it seems like i should get a total black out. yet i dont get the lines or the rainbow effect it shows when they show what it looks like behind tempered glass. Im not sure how else to tell. any advise?

I had the same issue with my visio 55. I called the manufacturer and confirmed the back panel wasn’t tempered. Definitely call them.

Don't call them, they will tell you they dont know. Aqueon uses tempered glass on random panels depending on what they have at the time.

Test the bottom, it should look different through the glasses. I have the same tank, did the same test, the bottom was tempered and looked way different than the other sides.

9/10 times its just the bottom of those tanks are tempered, but every once in awhile another piece might be.

It's an Aqueon tank. They're mass produced. Each panel could be different. Some may not be drillable. If you don't get a total blackout, don't drill.

Agree! If you cannot achieve total black out assume its tempered

ok everyone smh. I figured it out. I was using my macbook pro which has a lcd screen with a led backlight display. I think the backlight display was keeping it from blacking out. I switched and used my wifes laptop and boom total black out no problem on the tank everywhere except the bottom.
