Is my hairy mushroom turning into two?

This little guy was dime sized months ago. Got huge. Loves reef roids last day looked a little odd. Looked at it quite closely cause I thought it was dying. But low and behold looks like it’s becoming two? Is that how mushroom multiply ?

Doesn't look like a hairy (rhodactis) mushroom to me. Looks like a ricordea florida.
