Is my hammer coral budding??

I just noticed this little place on my hammer coral that appears to be a tiny little head forming?? It's at the base of the flesh.

Could be. Hard to see in the picture. They look like tiny heads. Here's a pic of mine. Notice the bottom in the center, there's a new bud there. It's a little bigger at this point, but they look like that just smaller as they start.

Both Hammers very very nice! Mine is still very small and actually at the top it's more round form than a hammer. Is it still a hammer or a different kind of Euphyllia?
 
Yes, that is a new baby polyp at the base. Euphyllia will not only split existing heads, but new polyps will form at the base of existing polyps and on the skeleton.
