Is my Hammer Splitting or sick?

Just got this hammer here not sure if I should be worried about that lump on it, looks there is a hole on the lump as well, any insight appreciated.

Kinda hard to see, but if that's exposed skeleton, then it's not splitting. You have a problem.
 
It looks like a lump of exposed skeleton with the breathing feather hole on it, this hammer is a new addition maybe it’s acclimating?

I've never seen one grow on the head of a healthy hammer though.

I posted another photo after it opened a bit more, I’m not too sure
 
Kinda hard to see in the pic but I have seen barnacles on the head of hammers. Would have a hole where their feather like rake emerges.

I believe you are correct on it being a barnacle, there is a feather like rake that emerges and pulls back in to breathe it seems. Some people say I can super glue it but I hear they won’t really harm my corals if that’s true?
