Hi, I’ve just put in an Ehiem heater and was wondering if it was submerged enough.

IMG_4772.jpeg Also, that’s as far down as it will go

I believe the wavy line on the top of the heater denotes the minimum water level. If water is above that you should be OK. That said, and you may already be aware, keep in mind/monitor the water level fluctuations that can occur in the back chambers of an AIO (depending on the baffle set up and if you are running an ATO this may be a non-issue, but just in case).

Is it a glass outside? If so that really should be the first thing you upgrade. Glass heaters and salt water are sketchy. I had one explode.
