I had my inkbird temp controller running for almost two years and recently found that it might be not working properly.

1) high heat alarm when off when it’s only shown 78.5 and I set “AH” at 82.

2) I run the temp at 78 with 1 degree differential, but the “cooling” kicks on when it’s only 78.5 or sometimes the “cooling” would just blink but the fan is not on.

mine is only a few months old, but it started wigging out. (its a bayite by the way, but they don't seem to be much different in terms of function and quality). I got my kid to replace the connector on the probe, and now it is solid again. I think they must do a really poor job assembling those probes.

I got you. But I still not quit sure if my functions properly.

Inkbird isn’t super tight on control. I have mine on at 78 off at 79. Most time it swings between 77.6 and 79.5
The temp itself is kind of accurate as I compared it with my old fashion glass thermometer. Two things that bothers me is that the alarm goes off when it’s only at around 78 and my AH was set to 81. Second, the cooling fan sometimes on when it’s 78.5, but somethings blinks and the fan was not on. So it’s not consistent. I prob get another one.

Oh mine doesn’t have alarms. It’s just the blue heating one. I have it plugged into my apex and let my apex handle the alarms
