Is my live rock still alive?

I have had my 180 without fish, lights or heat for about 5 years. Still full of water with the circ pump oxygenating the water. Is it still alive. If so how alive is it. Can I add fish? All parameters are ok.

Most certainly can be. I would definitely recommend some water changes first and running some GAC.

Might want to throw in an ammonia source. A shrimp or base ammonia and see if your parameters can handle a bioload before adding live fish. Shouldn't take too long, and seems like it would be worth the effort.

Did water change. About 25%. Added ammonia a few drops a day for a few days. No change in Parms.
