Thanks to everyone that helped out.

It looked bad. But never took it out. Recently noticing some color and what looks like some flesh on one of them. Also looks like a mouth is forming. That was gone a couple weeks ago.

They they come back?

It seems to still be hanging in there... (not done for yet!) I honestly couldn't say which way it's leaning towards, though.
