Newb!
In my new 30g tank, I have a HOB filtration unit (Marineland/Penguin 350) which has a flow of 350gph. I also have a smaller Aqua Tech 5-15 gallon HOB from my old fish tank that runs about 125gph or so that I will be putting on for some added flow. I'm wondering if this set up will be sufficient or if I need to buy a 2nd Marineland 350. I'm on a budget so can't spend allot. I also am not comfortable with setting up my own plumbing or anything like that yet. I won't have corals yet. Since this is my first real tank, I just want to keep it simple and easy. I currently have about 14 pounds of dry rock and 2 pounds of cured live rock. Will be ordering another 8-10 pounds of dry rock this weekend. When cycled, I plan to have a cuc, some clownies and other easy care, hardy fish. Probably a few anome... amonoe... anomone... :squigglemouth: .... those things for the clownfish but nothing serious yet. Later on when my tank is more established and I'm more experienced I may start adding some other things and corals, but for now, just fish, shrimp, etc.
