Not expelling anything, it’s been in my tank a couple of months (the rock flower has been in for about 6 months). Shrimp stuck to it and now looks like it’s going back to normal after it ate.Can you take a pic with the blue lights off or set your cameras white filter to 10k?
Is it expelling anything? Hiw long has it been in your tank? Did the shrimp you gave it stick to the nem?

It may have been mad at me for not feeding it for a couple of days. Looks like she’s getting back to her usual self. Thanks for the advice!!!If you fed it that could be a normal response. Nems are pigs especially carpets. It would try to eat a whole salmon if you let it. Might have just taken too big a bite. Just keep an eye on it and personally I wouldn't do or change a thing. Just be patient yet attentive.
I agree food response. She just was a piggy and ate too much.If you fed it that could be a normal response. Nems are pigs especially carpets. It would try to eat a whole salmon if you let it. There is a reason us nem keepers freak out I totally understand. You did a good job taking a step back and asking for advice before knee jerk reacting and doing all the usual water change and dose stuff.
My only knee jerk before posting was giving her some food. I hadn’t fed the tank in almost 3 days (had a series of events that took my time) and maybe she was rebelling. My tank has been fallow since February 6th and my last water change was on the 16th of February. Only param outta the ordinary was calcium (390 ppm) on the 25th of this month. had planned to do a round of testing today when I came home to her shriveled up. I’ll post my main params when I complete the tests. Thanks again for talkin me off a ledge and thank you, she definitely is a beauty!!!!!There is a reason us nem keepers freak out I totally understand. She's a good looking girl.

Yes to all of this!!! For sure! I’m commmmpppplllleeeety new to this. Started my first tank in October 2020. I’m very much still learning and have had some road bumps in life. but those number is where I try to be.ty
typical husbandry:
Feed 2X per week
Moderate light and water flow
Temp 77-79
ph 8.1-8.3
salinity 1.025
nitrate < .4
phos < .04
Ammonia < .03
mG 1300
Alk 8-9
CA 440
Seeing a few ZERO readings, I assume you are using APU test kits ?Yes to all of this!!! For sure! I’m commmmpppplllleeeety new to this. Started my first tank in October 2020. I’m very much still learning and have had some road bumps in life. but those number is where I try to be.

I’ve neglected the tank in the past 3, maintenance wise. Vacay n a funeral, not related. Ready to get this righted.
That is correct on just a few. API tests are ammonia, nitrite and Ph. The rest are Red Sea and salinity is taken with a refractometer. Goin through all the algae jazz again. I don’t run any chemical filtration at the moment. Have a uv (green machine) that runs at night. Cant seem to get nitrates and p03 up. Feed tank daily with mysis and direct feed nems (and cleaner shrimp, or he’ll rob everyone) 2-3 times a week.Seeing a few ZERO readings, I assume you are using APU test kits ?
