So I have what I was told is a toxic splatter moon coral. Its in QT right now and while in there I found an aiptasia at the base. I did some checking, watched some vids, etc. I decided to try the hot water shot through a air tube right at the aiptasia which got it to release then I sucked it up. I was concerned about the hot water damaging the coral, but was told it should be ok and it would be no more harmful than lemon juice, aip x, kalk, etc. Any way it seems to be turning white in that area and spreading a bit around the base. The heads seem to be nice and puffy and readily eating, etc. Do you think it can come back, is there anything to do?

I'm not really seeing anything out of the ordinary in that picture. That small white area appears to be on the skeleton so the coral itself should be fine.

Looks healthy to me. Fat and puffy. I have a similar frag in my tank and when it gets puffy when it’s happy.

Great....thank you guys. I was just a little worried as that area wasnt white before.
