I was driving home to have the wife send me this picture. She asked me why my coral was throwing up. I looked at it and have no idea what this is. First time seeing it. Anyone tell me what this is? By the time I got home, it was gone. Everything seems normal.

Looks like its trying to take in something to ingest. They can expel zooanthellae but this is not close to its appearance.

The picture is misleading. Because of the blue light it’s not showing that the bubble was white, sorta milky. She said that it was closed originally and looked like it was “swollen like it swallowed something like big”. But then puked out a white milky bubble.

Looks like sponge or filament
