I had a trash can of Saltwater mixing a little too long, and used it to do a water change. As a result, my ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate spiked for a few days. Everything has recovered since my newbie mistake other than my open brain. Can it be saved? The color is good, but it's hard as a rock now.

It's still alive. All you can do is keep the water stable. Hopefully it pulls through. Don't add any stress to it by feeding or moving around.

It looks to be getting worse. Should I move it under the rocks for a while?

how long are you supposed to mix water for before a water change? i had no idea you could mix it for too long and mess things up like that.

Depends on the salt. I use fritz RMP and I mix for two hours

I was thinking the same thing. I used to mix my salt overnight. Maybe that was way too long.
