Make sure your probe is calibrated, put it in a 7 or 10 ph solution and see if it reads accurately.I also thought the more people and pets in your house the lower the PH, but it's been like this consistently. I see many posts with reefers with low PH.
Ya I have been meaning to do it. It's been a hot min since I have, but I tested manually and it was pretty spot on. I still might want to calibrate it though. Can I just put it in the fluid to see if it reads right without calibrating? Do I have to temp float the solution?Make sure your probe is calibrated, put it in a 7 or 10 ph solution and see if it reads accurately.
Yeah id temp float it and then just plop the probe into the ph solution see if it reads right, personally i like to get any previous salt water off the probe wiping it down real quick before going into solution but don't know if that makes any real difference.Ya I have been meaning to do it. I know have some sponges that I need to scrape off on the probe would that mess with the results or is what measures the PH inside the prob and not on the outside.Yeah id temp float it and then just plop the probe into the ph solution see if it reads right, personally i like to get any previous salt water off the probe wiping it down real quick before going into solution but don't know if that makes any real difference.
id clean it off, not that it would effect the measuring but it could effect the accuracy of the actual solution. So like for example it is meant to be a ph of 7.01 putting a wet probe with sponges and stuff in there might change it and then the probe will read the changed number and not 7.01I know have some sponges that I need to scrape off on the probe would that mess with the results or is what measures the PH inside the prob and not on the outside.
