I prefer 'very healthy' versus fat ;) He's smiling for the picture. I love puffers. Yours looks happy (probably cuz he gets cooked meals :p)
Wish I had a tank big enough.

My stars are stripes were always hefty! Looks healthy!

You really are not doing him any favors by cooking his food, he need raw chunks of food like shrimp with shells on, scallop, squid, clams and mussels; but raw. I would think there would be very serious long term ramifications for him not getting raw food. You can also serve him any packaged chunky food from the lfs.

I don't see any reason to not feed him cooked mussels. They're bought that way, main reason he gets cooked. When I can get raw ones he eats those as well. Every now and again I'll leave the shells on so he can grind his teeth.

He won't eat anything besides mussels. I've tried letting him starve for close to a week. He still will not partake in eating with the others. As far as long term ramifications, I'd really like to hear more. My logic says that if anything, bad things are removed from being cooked.
