Hi all,

A week ago today, I purchased a new RBTA. I acclimated him to the tank, and put him in, but he was already attached to a little rock. He then moved around and hid under the rock that you see below... He is under the rock but has started to expose himself a little more to the light. He is open and he doesn't seem to be super unhappy, but I noticed a white ring around his mouth and at the base of the tentacles. I'm worried he is expelling his zooxanthelle, and want to make sure I get ahead of the problem if it is something I should be concerned about. His mouth isn't gaping either. Just the white ring and the white at the base of his tentacles. Also, this picture was taken with the LED's off. When they are on, it is more difficult to see. Thanks for all the help!

Specs & Params:
32 Gal Biocube, mini fuge in back with chaeto, chemi pure, and Purigen for filtration.
Steve's LED upgrade with Blues running at 30% and whites % 20.

Thanks for the quick response! This is my first BTA, so I didn't know if that was normal markings or not. I have a RFA as well, but he has been suuuuper easy to care for, and once I plopped him on a rock, he stayed and hasn't moved an inch.

Welcome to R2R! Looks like he is settled now and ready to come out into the light.

Agree with the others, it looks just fine.

@NY_Caveman he has been under this rock for a week now. Should I just leave him there and let him work his way out?

And thanks for the confirmation and replies!

I would not try to move him, or the whole thing may start all over again.
