Shes moving but seems to just stay in this hole in the rock and hasn't moved.

Blue tangs like to wedge themselves into tight spaces when stressed or scared. It is probably fine in there and once it settles in will come out.

nope, can barely swim. Or doing a good job of playing injured

If you are worried can you lift the rock up? Maybe then shell swim out

It died today. My thought of process is that it got injured some how hiding in the rock by either a hermit or hitchhiker. It was blocked in its hole by a hermit crab.

Sorry to hear it died :(

I ageee with @alanbetiger, I see white spots on the tang. Were you able to get any other pictures of the fish?

Maybe @Humblefish can help with a diagnosis?

I've never seen a healthy Tang wedge into a rock head first like that. I see the same spots that others mentioned and would say Ich killed it and crabs may have made a meal out of it. I don't just can't imagine a hermit crab taking out a healthy fish.

Them spots are sand due to it trying to swim but nudging the sand bed. I had to pull it out of the hole as it was pretty wedged in there. I wonder of i caused spinal injury or not. Before finding her like this she had been hiding and once out as soon as i went to feed she saw me and hid. Not getting any.

Below is a photo of a Hippo Tang with ich for comparison purposes:

In all fairness. Though it was a baby. We only have a 125l tank. We thought it would be fine until we upgraded to a reefer 525 in november as slow growth rate. We wont be getting another one. They look brilliant as juveniles but not so much adults. Lesson learnt. Due to maybe poor swimming space and stress, it could be anything as no disease present.
