Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well

I recently purchased a master scoly online. However, it seems like the coral was not shipped well as the water that came with the coral was kinda stinky. It has been in my tank (in low flow low light area) for 3 days now but still has not got better. Just wondering if it is a goner or it can be rescued.

There's definitely hope. I have personally experienced a bounce back in LPS of similar health under great water conditions. I would recommend contacting your supplier and explaining the situation to them, including pictures of the murky bag if you have them. Then if worst comes to worst, you're hopefully not outta luck.

Restoration will take months rather than days, and the coral will benefit from being left alone until then. Feeding it a couple of times a week will aid in tissue restoration.

My biggest advice to you is to leave it alone at all costs. Don't perform any extra dips unless it's absolutely necessary, don't touch it, and don't move it. Reducing stress is #1. Fingers crossed.

I did contact them and they said all they could do is sell me another one at cost price if this little guy is gone. I was so tempted to dip it with iodine but I reckon it would only stress him out more. I just fed him and there's no tentacles came out as I expected

It'll come around, I believe it! Keep checking for tentacles and keep trying to feed it every 3 days. I suspect a few hours after lights out, they'll start comin around. Sorry to hear the vendor wasn't more helpful - pretty hard hit it sounds like on both sides.
