This morning I saw this on my scoly. What appears to be black tissue around the edge where the tissue meets the skeleton, and it's receded in one area. Up until now, it was healing and doing fine. It's been in my tank about 2 weeks. My water parameters are good and all other coral is doing fine, it seems.
Could this occur from too much feeding? Does anyone know what's happening? Does it look like it got stung? I have a tube anenome fairly close to this, but I've seen it fully extended and it doesn't reach it. However, the black tissue doesnt go all the way around.

Your alk seems high. What is your no3 and po4?

What corals do you have around it? What fish do you have in the tank? Anything that would sting or put sand on it?
