Is my skim too watery?

I am new to protein skimmers and I got this one a little over a week ago. Its an instant ocean seaclone 100 I know they aren't the best but I got a smackin deal on it. It's bubbling over and everything and the skim it's producing is real dark brown but it's watery. Is it supposed to be watery or thick foam?

That looks OK to me considering the skimmer. You are usually not going to get that "black tar" looking skimmate without having a higher end model...

Looks good to me also. If it is skimming I. Would not worry about adjusting it.

yeah I have some unID red macro algae growing in it right now and I'm waiting on chaeto to come in
