I have been running a SRO-5000 since I set up my system and I think it has done a good job. Recently though it has been difficult to adjust and fills with dirt almost daily. I drain the skimmate to a bucket and it makes about 3 gallons over 3 days. My system has become dirtier than I like it as well. I recently installed filter socks on the system hoping to cut down on the skimmer load.

I have about 35 fish in here including a couple of eels, 2 large angels, Niger trigger and a few tangs that will get large.
I try to feed them well and the eels get chunks of stuff.

I never really though I had a high bioload. Recently It has occurred to me I might be wrong.
This was my first attempt at a large system, and I am making it up as I go along. It is up to 400 gallons including the things in the fish room. In the future this system might get bigger. In the back of my head I am thinking about putting a 6 foot tank where the 75 is now.
This skimmer was cleaned the day before yesterday.

I can no longer get it to come to a dry skim. It overflows or it pushes the top off. The orange "hat" is for ozone capture and recirculation. I feed from it back into the air intake.

I am not having a problem with nitrates and phosphates which are .2 and 5.

I am considering upgrading to an ASM G5 or G6. I think the G5 would be one size up from what I have now and the G6 the next level above that.
