Is my stand bowing?

Even if you determine the top of the tank is level that doesn’t really tell you if the wood is bowing. Perhaps checking level front to back would but just place a straight edge across the entire front of the stand and you can spot whether there’s deflection or not.

As to a sheet of plywood on top. That won’t help with deflection, at all.

Me, I’d not keep electronics or valuables in the drawers just in case.

Only thing I can think of is to use a top material that is more stiff than wood like maybe granite. That doesn’t really deflect over minimal spans but also overkill unless you have a piece laying around.

Maybe just scoot the tank back towards the rear so it’s supported better?

Thanks! Would putting plywood on top of the stand reinforce it?

Something must've gotten lost in translation. Plywood on top of the stand will do nothing. When I said 'on top', I meant on top of the stand, as in between the top of the stand and the bottom of the tank. That will do nothing.
