Help! I do not know if my starfish is dying? I have 2 other starfish and they are fine. They come out in the day unlike this one. I found him leaning against a rock upside down so I flipped him over. I touched him but there was not that big of a reaction so I got worried so I tried to spot feed a silverside head but it is not eating. Help!

Yes it's very possible. With that many in a tank they may be too Much competition for food.

not sure my friend. It may be too late Im sorry. But if you have a sump that may be a good place to let it try to filter feed. Try spot feeding, smaller foods so its less effort. How long have you had him. Are your parameters all good, no salinity swings or ammonia .?

I have had him for 2 months. I got it from somebody going out of hobby.
you may need to consider feeding the tank more. Im surprised he just let himself go. Usually they bake it pretty obvious the are hungry,

Eversence I got him he was always hiding and I see him time to time. The other two starfish always move when they smell food.

He is still alive but I do not know of he is eating. I leave small pieces of food for him but I don't know if he eats it.

Is there a sump you can place the brittle star in? At least the star looks more active in that image. Echinoderms typically come with parasites, in a closed system without parasite consumers the star might be more at risk if having to compete with other stars.
