I have a 24 gallon sump from my previous tank. I was wondering if i used it for my 150 gallon , if it would be too small?

My personal opinion:
Just my opinion.
- Yes, 24 gal is small for a 150 DT
- I believe a 24 gal sump can be made to work with some ingenuity
- Equipment utilization will be limited, so bigger will allow for more equipment options
- Everyone's household and budgets are different, so everyone has to do the best with what they got sometimes
- If the 24 is temp, then make sure to plumb it in with future expansion in mind. Example: Use unions and/or valves to make swapping easier.
Reference my signature line. I tried to go with the biggest sump/fuge I could make work. I would do it again too.![]()
