I have been dosing Nopox to reduce my nitrate to the recommended 3-5ppm. I have lowered them from 60ppm to 8ppm. I cant seem to get my phosphate up, been testing zero ppm through Hanna checker. So I have been dosing Neophos for the last three days with no success. Prior to dosing Neophos I stopped Nopox and my Phosphates began to increase 0.06 ppm. After dosing Nopox again they are at zero ppm. Any ideas on what I should do?

Make small daily additions of NeoPhos until your nitrates drop to where you want them, then back off ot your NOPOx to a maintanence level. Everyday you will likely add PO4 and it will be gone the next day when you test. Just keep going until you get where you want and things balance out. Pick a ppm value for PO4 and dose daily to that value. If it's gone the next day dose the full amount, if it is half gone, dose a half dose to maintain the level. Test every 24 hours and rinse and repeat as necisarry. At somepoint you won't have to make additions anymore.
