Yesterday I bought a fish from my LFS. It's a large powder blue and was in a bag, with about a gallon of water in it. The LFS has cooper in their water. While floating the bag in my aquarium. It became completely open. Now I'm worried the cooper is going to kill all of my corals and clams. Some of my SPS are closed up. Is my tank in big trouble? All I have is carbon. I'm not sure if carbon will remove cooper or not. It's Christmas and all the stores are closed. I'm so stressed.

With everything being closed today, the best thing you can do right now would be a larger water change and to add some carbon

Not much you can do at the moment unless you can change some water and keep carbon running.

I’m sorry this is happening to you, talk about bad timing .
Like everyone is saying do as many water changes as you can between now and tomorrow. Then first thing tomorrow run to your lfs and get what you need to remove the copper. There is a poly pad that will remove the copper. However I can’t think of the name of it right now.

Also if you post this as an emergency thread and add your location maybe there is some who can help you out sooner.

One thing I didn't mention is that my tank is a 200 gallon with a 40 gallon sump.

Okay it’s called poly filter. With a two hundred gallon system you may need several. They aren’t expensive. Just look it up on bulk reef supplies site. Then you will know what you are looking for when you head to your lfs tommorow. This poly filter is good to have on hand in an tank emergency kit just in case as well. Please keep us posted on how things turn out. I’m sure your tank will be okay.

The good thing is your system is 240 gallon so the copper now is 240 times diluted :)
