Is my toadstool starting to shed?

I have had this toadstool for about 6 weeks. It has done really well so far. Can't say thats its necessarily grown, but its definitely gotten fuller. Yesterday it started looking like this. Like it has the toadstool version of male pattern baldness. I am assuming its about to shed. But I'm never had a toadstool before and am not sure. Thanks.

It kind of looks waxy on its bald spot. But I dont know
