I have a Dragon Soul torch that's making me a bit concerned and wanted to ask for help/input.

It seemed to be doing okay/had more extension when I first put it into my tank:

I moved it recently to the left side of the tank (where a lot of other euphyllia seemed to be really happy). It seems to start the day doing okay, but the base will then get 'puffy' and the tentacles shorten.

Start of day:

Thinking I'm going to move it back, but what could be causing it to close up like that?

Tank parameters:

Salinity: 1.027
Temp: 77-78 F
Nitrates: 0 PPM
Phosphates: 0 PPM

(Noting that I have GHA in the tank at the moment, so I'm pretty sure that's where all my nitrates/phosphates have been going, and I'm trying to bump them up a bit.)

Is it higher light there? How long has it been in that spot?

I think it's higher light (a few inches higher in the tank), though I won't know for sure for a couple weeks until I borrow the PAR meter from a local club.

And it's been there for about four days now.

How long have you had the torch? My experience is they are pretty temperamental at times and do a lot of opening and closing.

I've had it about 3.5 weeks now. I'm assuming this is just due to it not liking the spot it's in, but just a bit paranoid due to this being my first "expensive" coral.

just let it be. It has to get used to your tank, flow, lighting, parameters etc. Moving it about won't make it more happy
