Just got in from work and this is what my torch looks like. Does it look like its on its way out or maybe salvageable? Any assistance would be helpful?

That is what seems to look like brown jelly.

It is unfortunately hard to stop once it covers a coral.

Dining it in coral rx, Bayer, might help but be careful pulling it out of the tank as it spreads easily.

I have coral rx on hand ill give this a try. Its my only lps in the tank. Can it spread to softies?

Haven't seen it do that.....

When dipping try to blow off the brown jelly with the dip its in.

Then dip again in fresh salt water for a rinse.

It’s dead. Remove from tank immediately. Be careful and turn all pumps and wavemakers off. Dip the rest of euphyllia in your tank. That stuff spreads like no ones business.

I did the coral rx dip as merkey suggested and blew off all the brown jelly stuff. I put it back in my tank and it looks like there's more brown jelly again. I'm honestly not confident that the dip helped at all. I have no other euphyllia or lps but I do have some sps, mushrooms and zoas. Should I be worried about the other corals?

At this point just pull it.

Now the real mystery is why did this happen?

Have you checked you parameters?

Zola’s are bomb proof, as are mushroom. I wouldn’t stress the other corals, just do a water change and GET THE TORCH OUT OF THE TANK, it will keep decaying, I have had this happen to me twice with torches, first time nuked half my tank. When you take it out, does it smell bad? If so, it’s decaying.

I didn't notice any foul smell but I'll be honest doing the sniff test didn't cross my mind.

I pulled my 2nd Knicks torch yesterday, was starting to form BJD, and it smelled like a rotting fish. Shipping sucks. But it’s the hobby, good things will come!

Current state of said torch

Same thing that happened to my 1st Knicks, opened and was fine then out of no where the skin started receding. Then overnight it fully retracted and turned white. I have no idea why, but yeah usually Skelton means EXTREMLY stressed or dead.

Its not dead yet and tissue is receded. Soemthing is upsetting it and start with a mild dip. Rinse in a cup with tank water.
Assure you have met the following:

Moderate light and water flow

salinity 1.025
temp 77-79
ph 8.1 - 8.3
alk 8-9
mag 1300
CA 400-450
Ammonia - .03

Unfortunately no bottle bac on hand and im afraid I won't get a chance to grab any until mid day tomorrow during work. I do have a giant skimmer so maybe that'll help pull that junk out. Next question, after all is said and done when would be a safe time to look into adding another torch or similar. I'm not the type to run out tomorrow and grab another lol, just curious about how long this junk takes to clear out of a system. I did a 5 gallon water change which isn't a lot but I have to mix up some more salt water before I can do a large one. Geez I was so unprepared for this today.

I did a coral rx dip followed by a rinse in a cup of tank water. It definitely wasn't that receded before the dip, in fact one of the 2 heads was still mostly full and colorful. The other was collapsed and not good looking but still full of color. Once I put it back after the dip it looked like it does in the second pic. I thought it may have been very stressed from the dip so I thought it was still alive but dying. Now my mind is in a pretzel and I don't know if I should wait it out or yank the sucker before it nukes my tank.

As I stated- Upset

So should I just wait it out and see what happens? I don't have the credentials to make these kind of decisions lol. And I'm getting some mixed suggestions so I don't know who is right.
