Is my torch splitting?

Hi All,

I was doing a water change this morning and noticed my torch coral had white sections on it's base. It seems healthy and happy so I was wondering if this is an indication of it getting ready to split it's head, or if it was just part of it's normal coloration.

That’s the mouth. Normal coloration
 
Torches don’t tend too split but rather grow new heads , yours looks great are you sure it wasn’t the mouth you can see on it !
